Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Riff mobile application ("the App"), operated by Best Day Labs ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of service

Riff is a music learning tool that uses AI to detect chords, beats, and lyrics from audio. Users can import songs, view chord progressions in real time, and contribute chord data to a community catalog.

3. Subscription & payment

Riff requires an active subscription to access its features. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms regarding auto-renewal, cancellation, and refunds. Pricing and plan details are displayed in the App prior to purchase.

4. User-generated content

When you publish chord data to the community catalog, you grant Best Day Labs a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute that data within the App. You retain ownership of your contributions and may request their removal at any time by contacting us.

5. Accuracy disclaimer

Chord detection is performed by AI models and may not be perfectly accurate. Riff is intended as a learning aid, not a definitive source of musical transcription. We make no guarantee regarding the accuracy of detected chords, beats, or lyrics.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use Riff only for personal, non-commercial music learning purposes. You agree not to misuse the App or its catalog features, including submitting intentionally incorrect chord data.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Best Day Labs makes no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the App's reliability, accuracy, or suitability for your specific needs.

8. Changes to terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. By continuing to access or use our App after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
