How does Riff work?

Riff uses AI to analyze audio and detect chords, beats, and lyrics. Import a song by sharing a link from YouTube, Spotify, or other sources. The audio is sent to our servers for analysis, and the results are displayed in real time as you play along.

What sources can I import from?

YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, TikTok, Instagram, and most other platforms that host audio or video content. You can also import audio files directly from your device library.

How do I edit chords?

Tap any chord in the playback view to edit it. Rename, retime, delete, or add missing chords. Your edits are saved locally to your library.

What is the catalog?

The catalog is a community-driven collection of chord analyses. Publish your analyzed songs so other users can find them, and browse or save analyses other players have published.

Is an account required?

No. You can analyze songs and use all core features without signing in. An account (via Sign-In with Apple) is only needed to publish to the catalog or vote on chord contributions.

I found a bug. How do I report it?
