Blindspot for iPhone

A camera is missing, moved, or isn't there any more

Tap the camera on the map and choose Dispute this. That hides it from your coverage immediately and flags it for correction.

For a camera that's missing entirely, email us the cross-streets or a dropped pin. Camera locations come from OpenStreetMap, so corrections benefit everyone using that data, not just Blindspot.

The data is contributed by the public and is never complete. Assume Blindspot doesn't know about every camera — the absence of one on the map means only that nobody has recorded it there.

How often does the camera data update?

The app ships with a copy on your device and checks for a newer one daily. New data is published weekly when there are changes. Updates download over Wi-Fi only, so they never use your cellular data.

Managing your subscription

Subscriptions are billed by Apple, not by us. To change or cancel, open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Blindspot.

Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the current period ends.

Refunds are handled entirely by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue them, but tell us what went wrong and we'll try to fix it.

I paid but the app still shows the paywall

Open Settings inside Blindspot and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with. If it still doesn't unlock, email us.

Why does it ask for location?

While using the app is what shows cameras near you, warns you as you approach one, and sets the starting point for a route.

Always is optional and off unless you turn on background logging in Settings. It's what lets the app record cameras you drive past when Blindspot isn't open. It uses more battery, and it's entirely your choice.

Either can be changed at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.

Does Blindspot work without a signal?

Cameras, approach warnings and your exposure log all work with no signal — they're stored on your device. Map tiles, routing and destination search need a connection.

Does it detect police or speed traps?

No, and it can't. Blindspot shows fixed, permanently installed camera hardware whose locations are a matter of public record. It has no ability to detect officers, speed enforcement, or checkpoints, and it isn't built for that.

Deleting your data

Your exposure log lives only on your phone. Delete it from Settings → Exposure log → Open log → Delete log, or delete the app to remove everything.

There's nothing for us to delete on our side — we don't have a server and never receive your data. See the privacy policy.
