Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Best Day Labs, LLC ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Bounce mobile application (the "App"). By using the App you agree to the practices described below.

1. What Bounce does

Bounce takes a TikTok video URL that you share into the App, extracts a list of songs mentioned in that video, and creates a playlist in your Apple Music library. Everything described below exists to make that single flow work.

2. Information we process

We process the minimum information needed to deliver the service:

• The TikTok URL you share with the App. When you submit a URL, our backend downloads the publicly available video, audio, and caption associated with that URL so we can extract the song list.
• An anonymous device identifier. A randomly generated UUID is used to associate conversion jobs with your device for status polling and for enforcing free-tier limits. It is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID.
• Apple Music authorization. When you grant Bounce permission to access Apple Music, the App uses Apple's MusicKit framework to create playlists in your library. We do not receive your listening history, your library contents, or your Apple ID.
• Email address (optional). If you join the Instagram waitlist (or any other future-platform waitlist), we store the email address you provide in order to notify you when that platform becomes supported.
• Diagnostic data (optional). If crash reporting is enabled in a future build, anonymous crash and performance data may be sent to our error-monitoring provider so we can fix bugs. No personal identifiers are attached.

3. How the data is used

The TikTok video and caption you submit are processed through the following pipeline, solely to produce your playlist:

• Audio transcription — the audio track is transcribed using OpenAI's Whisper API.
• On-screen text recognition — selected video frames are run through optical character recognition (OCR) on our servers.
• Song list consolidation — the caption, transcript, and OCR output are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to produce a structured list of song titles and artists.
• Apple Music matching — each candidate song is searched against Apple's Music catalog to find the best match.

Once a job is finished, the resulting song list may be cached against the original TikTok URL so that other users who share the same URL get an instant result. This cache stores the URL and the extracted song metadata; it does not store any personal information about the user who submitted the URL.

4. Subscriptions and payments

All subscriptions and in-app purchases are handled by Apple's App Store and processed by our subscription provider, RevenueCat, on our behalf. We never see or store your payment card, billing address, or Apple ID. RevenueCat receives an anonymous user identifier so that your subscription status can be restored across devices.

5. Third-party services we rely on

• Apple — App Store, MusicKit (Apple Music playlist writes).
• OpenAI — Whisper audio transcription.
• Anthropic — Claude language model for song-list consolidation.
• Supabase — backend database that stores job records, the song-list cache, and waitlist email addresses.
• RevenueCat — subscription management and entitlement checks.
• Fly.io — hosting for our backend service.
• Sentry (if enabled in a future build) — anonymous crash and performance monitoring.

Each provider receives only the data needed to perform its function and processes that data on our behalf under its own privacy and security commitments.

6. What we do not do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not use advertising trackers, advertising SDKs, or analytics that build cross-app profiles of you.
• We do not require you to create an account or hand over your name, address, or phone number.
• We do not access your Apple Music library beyond the playlist we create on your behalf.
• We do not track your TikTok activity outside of the URL you explicitly share into the App.

7. Data retention

Anonymous job records and the song-list cache are retained so the App remains fast for repeated URLs. Waitlist email addresses are retained until you ask us to delete them or until the platform you signed up for becomes generally available, whichever comes first. You may request deletion at any time using the contact details below.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time.

9. Children's privacy

Bounce is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. International users

Bounce is operated from the United States. By using the App, you understand that information you provide will be processed in the United States and in the regions used by our service providers.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App.
